Registration Information

Registration Fee

•

Registration fee (Non-student/Student) include:

•	participation in tutorial (21 May, 2012)
•	participation in 4-day Conference sessions (22-25 May, 2012)
•	one copy of the abstracts/programme book
•	one copy of the Conference proceedings USB
•	morning and afternoon refreshment breaks
•	simple lunches during the 4-day Conference
•	admission to the Conference Welcome Reception on 22 May, 2012 (Day 1 of the Conference)
•	admission to the Conference Banquet on 25 May, 2012 (Day 4 of the Conference)
•	admission to the (Pujiang Tour) on Huangpu River on 25 May, 2012 (Day 4 of the Conference)

All fees are in Chinese RMB.

Author Registration

•	One author of a paper accepted for the Regular/Special sessions MUST register for the Conference in the EARLY registration period (25 January-26 March, 2012).
•	Without registration, an accepted paper will not be included in the Conference proceedings.

ISCA Member Registration

•	Reduced registration fee for ISCA Member with valid proof for your ISCA membership numbers.
•	Students and young scientists (age < 35) participating in Speech Prosody 2012 are encouraged to apply for ISCA grants to get financial support. For details of the grant application process, please visit ISCA webpage on Grants for more information.
•	To apply for ISCA membership or renew your membership, please visit ISCA webpage on Membership.

Student Registration

•	Reduced registration fee for students is applicable to full-time undergraduates and postgraduates with valid proof for your student status.
•	A copy of the student ID card showing the name and the study period or a proof letter of the student status signed by the Head of Department should be attached to the online registration form. If this proof is not received, regular registration fee will be applied.

Accompanying Guests Registration

•	Registration for accompanying guests MUST be made by the attendees (Non-student/Student) and it is preferably made in advance of the Conference.
•	Purchase of guest ticket(s) and the full name(s) of the guest(s) should be indicated on the online registration form.
•	The Accompanying guest fee, which is fixed at 800 RMB for adult or child, includes:
	• admission to the Conference Welcome Reception in Grand Central Hotel Shanghaion 22 May, 2012 (Day 1 of the Conference)
	• admission to the Conference Banquet in a Chinese restaurant on 25 May, 2012 (Day 4 of the Conference)
	• admission to the (Pujiang Tour) on Huangpu River on 25 May, 2012 (Day 4 of the Conference)
•	Guests will have a special badge, and will NOT be permitted to attend the Conference sessions.

Conference Welcome Reception - 22 May, 2012 (evening, Day 1 of the Conference)

•	A champagne reception with buffet dinner will be held in the venue.
•	It is free of charge for all registered attendees. Admission ticket is included with the registration.
•	Registered accompanying guest will also be issued with a ticket.

Conference Banquet - 25 May, 2012 (Dinner, Day 4 of the Conference)

•	Conference Banquet will take place in a Chinese restaurant.
•	It is free of charge for all registered attendees. Admission ticket is included with the registration.
•	Registered accompanying guest will also be issued with a ticket.

Shanghai Huangpu River Cruise - 25 May, 2012 (evening, Day 4 of the Conference)

•	Taking a tour along the Huangpu River (also known as the Pujiang) is the best way to enjoy the scenery on both sides of the river.
•	It is free of charge for all registered attendees. Admission ticket is included with the registration.
•	Registered accompanying guest will also be issued with a ticket.
•	We would like to remind you that the Conference Banquet and the Shanghai Huangpu River Cruise are on the last day of the conference, please arrange your travel plan appropriately so that you will not miss the highlights of the events.

Social Programme: Local Tour - 26 May, 2012 (after conference, optional)

Two tours are recommended for choice:
•	Tour 1: One-day Tour of Wuzhen (528RMB/Person)
•	Tour 2: One- day Tour of Suzhou (398RMB/Person)
•	The tour is an optional activity.
•	The fee for the tour is the same for the attendees (Non-student/Student)
•	Purchase of tour ticket(s) and the full name(s) of guest(s) should be indicated on the online registration form.
•	The deadline for the local tour application is 8 May, 2012 before the online registration closes, and the onsite application is only possible if the quota is not full.

Conference Proceedings

•	A free copy of the Conference proceedings USB is included with the Non-student/Student registration.
•	Printed hard copies of the conference proceedings will be sold on site, postal service is possible.

All cancellations must be made in writing by mail or email to the Organizers of Speech Prosody 2012.

The amount of refund depends on the cancellation date, which is detailed as follows.

Cancellation date	Refund amount
On or before 20 March, 2012	100% refund with a deduction of RMB300 administration fee
From 21 March, 2012 to 20 April, 2012	50% refund
After 20 April, 2012	No refund

If the author is the only one of the accepted paper, a refund request is NOT accepted.

•

All refunds will be issued within 30 days after the Conference.

Visas and Letters of Invitation

•

Travellers may require a visa to China. Please check the entry requirements at the website of the Immigration Department of China: http://english.gov.cn/service/imm_va.htm.

•

Participants requiring a letter of invitation for visa or other applications should write or email to the Organizers of Speech Prosody (sp2012@tongji.edu.cn) including the following information:

•	name
•	postal and email addresses
•	confirmation number and title of paper if you have a paper accepted for the Conference.

Note: The invitation letter does NOT imply any financial support from the Conference.

Insurance

•	The Organizers of Speech Prosody 2012 do not hold any responsibility for individual medical, travel, or personal insurance.
•	Participants are advised to have their own travel insurance arrangements.

Hotel Reservations

•	Registration fee does NOT include accommodation.
•	We have reserved hotel rooms for the Conference. Please visit the Conference website for details and make your own booking individually.
